Aim for the learners is to develop 3 set of habilities: personal effectiveness (commitments, knowledge, involvement, autonomy…), analysis and realisation (improved results, learning process, organised, self-control…), management and influence (behaviour, decision, cooperate, transfer…). This action is part of the accredited Work Based Training of Polytech’Lille for the production field (Chartered engineer) (Nuninger et al., 2009, 2011). It is a virtuous process of training that urge transfert between actors (learners, school, company) through knowledge and skill acquisition : a process whose aim is continual improvement and innovation (Nuninger et Chatelet, 2011). The seminar is a real experiment in a controled environment that simulates the functionning of a company (assembly shop of Lego© mini-cars). Steps are : initialization (backgrounds and motivation), first debriefing (factual approach and indicators), Management of continuing improvement (gamer has to improve his competencies : interpersonal role (leader), informational role (active observer) and decision making role (regulator, value management)). The player develops his skills with respect to his distributed position in the game (with respect to his identified axes of improvement) : communication (leader), information (observer), decision making (regulator). Actions and technics should respect the constraint (measurement of results with respect to our professional profiles of hability IESP. Teacher role is shareholder or customer depending of the game moment. The “serious game” is original by JM Chatelet and developed with our partner SNECMA (copyright). It has been improved taking into account the cultural aspect for communication, organization and behaviour through a group test composed by two groups of European WBL.Show less >
