This paper describes a framework for the development of computer-based simulations of endovascular procedures. In particular, we focus on patient-specific modeling of the vascular anatomy, using an implicit formulation, which offers many benefits, both in terms of anatomical modeling and in terms of computational efficiency. Our preliminary results demonstrate a very realistic simulation in interactive times of coil embolization of intracranial aneurysms.Show less >
