The technique is based on generating progressive capillary waves at a liquid interface by radiation pressure of a short ultrasound pulse in microgravity condition. The waveforms are then processed in the spatial domain. The method presents the advantage of strongly reducing data volume of necessary images for analysis and, consequently, significantly minimizing both data processing and time expenses thanks to the analysis in spatial domain instead of time domain as hitherto reported in the literature.Show less >
