The theoretical basis for description of nonlinear propagation of PCW in inhomogeneous and moving media is presented. The advantages of the magnetoacoustic technique of narrow band selective phase conjugation for applications in harmonic imaging are demonstrated. Phase conjugation of acoustic harmonics generated during nonlinear propagation of testing ultrasound beams is applied for detection of isoechogenic objects and for compensation of phase distortions in high resolution nonlinear acoustic imaging. Applications of PCW for velocimetry of complex flows are shown on examples of instantaneous measurements of velocity and composition of mixed liquids, diagnostics of flows in real blood vessels in vitro, imaging of immersed jets and reconstruction of space distributions of flow velocity in liquid. The problems and some results of gas flow diagnostics by means of ultrasound wave phase conjugation are discussed.
