They are easier to fabricate compared to machining mm-sized corrugations, can operate at frequencies where machining sub-wavelength corrugations is no longer practical (>300 GHz), and do not suffer from Bragg reflection. Measurements of prototype dielectric-lined waveguides verify that they support the HE11 mode and have very low attenuation.Show less >
