Lire la suite >At its starting point, this article questions the theoretical and epistemic assumptions underpinning the emergence of the concept of (super)diversity, hailed in a growing body of academic literature as heralding a “diversity turn”. In a second step, it highlights the issues raised by the organizational applications of the diversity framework in three main policy domains: migration, urban planning, and antidiscrimination. Finally, by highlighting the development of white-centered diversity concepts, namely that erase race and ethnicity from the space of diversity politics to the advantage of other, deemed more meaningful, status categories, e.g. gender, disability, and age, the article invites a closer look at the intertwining of scholarly and practical articulations of diversity by considering knowledge as practice in a Foucaldian sens.Lire moins >
