Show more >Our communication focuses on the training practices of companies with regard to the employees they have just recruited, linked to their professional careers, within and outside these companies. The broader issue is the role of training in securing professional careers (management of breaks and professional transitions), in a context of massive and sustainable unemployment and changes in professions and skills (Gazier and Tuchszirer, 2015; Larquier and Remillon, 2008). We are mobilising the first two waves of the employee component of the CNEFP and Céreq DEFIS surveys by analysing the training and employment trajectories, within and outside the company, of recently recruited employees. Our communication aims to question the integrating and stabilizing functions of training: Within new recruits, who is trained and what types of training are followed? Are there differences in access to training for new entrants according to the channel through which they obtain employment (through classified ads, spontaneous applications, networks, etc.), according to the characteristics of the job and the recruiting company and according to the previous situation of the recruits (employment, unemployment, inactivity)? What is the impact of training on the employment stability of new recruits?Show less >
