Show more >The paper focuses on the generation of residuals using nonlinear analytical redundancy relations for sensor and actuator faults detection and isolation of air supply system of fuel cell. The state equation model of the air supply system which is based on volumetric air compressor is reduced from 4 orders to 3 orders. Then, analytical residuals are generated by nonlinear analytical redundancy relations with numerical simulation results. Those relations are used to detect and to isolate sensor or actuator faults based on the elimination of the unknown variables of the system. The results show that all faults in specifications can be detected. Keywords: air compressor, fuel cell, parity space, residual generation, nonlinear analytical redundancy, faults signature, fault detection and isolationShow less >
