In order to find the optimal detection conditions, six different sources and offset windows are tested on a 2D profile deployed along a track of wells used for salt exploitation and below which cavities have been formed. The results are evaluated quantitatively comparing vertical and lateral resolutions, signal level and the capacity of detection (cavities). The results of the experimental tests are than analyzed to come out with the best acquisition solution that will be adopted in the future seismic investigations for cavities detection.Show less >
