As the analysis shows, each experience is intimately linked to the others and at the same time turns out to be another step in another itinerary, not only geographical but also political, social and personal: a commitment to the emancipation of women. This work shows the emancipatory dimension of this migratory experience for the journalist herself and, beyond that, it also exposes how Josefina Carabias used this experience as a steppingstone toward progressive activism.Show less >
