Developed though a lengthy observation of the vegetal species and their ecosystems, the images in question simultaneously refer to botanical sciences and to art history in order to better deconstruct existing models, and allow for the restitution of the imperceptible logic that crosses through the living – be it that of nature or of human actions. Based on the detailed analysis of the chosen works, the text thus invites looking upon Jean-Luc Moulène’s capture of the vegetal as a social practice in itself that engages the artist’s body as well the spectator’s.Show less >
