The model presented reveals the similarities with synchronous machine and therefore we propose the vector control to solve the problem and to enhance its performances. The implementation using a position sensor is tested. Experimental results show that the vector control avoids pull-out and reduces dramatically the voltage applied to achieve the same performances. Speed up to 2.5 times the maximum rated speed at full load could be achieved without loss of synchronization.Show less >
