Conclusion. Show less >

Methods and results. — Twenty-four amateur soccer players having undergone anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction took part in this study. The initial evaluation (T1) was carried out the first day of rehabilitation and the final evaluation (T2) after 35 days. Both evaluations consisted of maximal graded tests performed with the non-surgical leg. The subjects were randomly assigned to a group following an individualized OLC aerobic program (15 sessions) or to a control group without cardiorespiratory training (i.e. following a conventional rehabilitation). After training, Oxym and VSm throughout the duration of the test were significantly higher at T2 than at T1. No difference was observed for the control group. Conclusion. — OLC can induce peripheral adaptations and NIRS constitutes a good tool to show these adaptations.Show less >
