Raman investigations in the stretching regions of carbonyl and hydroxyl groups have shown a close relationship between the formation ofmolecular associations between the two molecular species and the drastic negative deviation from ideality for high citric acid content, responsible for obtaining a deep eutectic solvent (DES). Itwas shown that a great amount of poorlywater-soluble drugs (ibuprofen and paracetamol) could be dissolved in that DES, providing a strategy for stabilizing a great amount of amorphous drugs or for obtaining unusual crystalline forms of drugs.Show less >
