Show more >Textile electronic circuits dominate the development of smart textiles. They are critically important for wearable electronics. With the development of materials sciences, especially in the nanosciences and conductive polymers, many different sensors and microcontrollers are integrated into clothing, which endow it with different electronic functions. Meanwhile, the special requirements of the textiles such as elasticity, flexibility, washability, light weight, and feasibility have to be considered in order to make the circuit be invisible and not susceptible to becoming tangled or influenced by surrounding objects. To achieve these requirements, conductive yarns and miniature electronic components have been integrated into textiles by different approaches. Fibrous transistors were developed to realize the numerical and analogical circuits. This chapter reviews the development of textile electronic circuits by presenting the semiconductor materials, fibrous transistors, and their applications in textile circuits.Show less >
